About Crase
Crase is a specialist development management firm delivering land development projects across South-West Sydney. Based in Camden, we work across the full development lifecycle — from early feasibility and approvals through to construction delivery and title registration.
As a small, highly engaged team, we offer hands-on exposure to real projects, direct access to decision-makers, and the opportunity to grow alongside the business.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager ready to step into a broader Development Manager style role, with genuine exposure to the entire development lifecycle.
This role suits someone with a strong background in civil construction and land development, who equally comfortable on site and in the office, understands how projects are actually built, and wants to apply that experience on the client side.
You will work closely with the Director, have direct client contact, and be given real responsibility and ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Project Delivery
- Manage land development projects across planning, design, approvals, construction and delivery
- Coordinate consultants, contractors, authorities and stakeholders throughout all project stages
- Take ownership of project outcomes, not just inputs
Civil & On-Site Involvement
Actively engage with civil contractors on site, including:
RFIs, EOTs, claims and contract administration
- Quality, program, safety and cost oversight
- Undertake regular site inspections and safety audits, identifying risks early and ensuring appropriate controls are in place
- Review and monitor WHS documentation, including SWMS, risk assessments and site safety systems
- Apply practical civil construction knowledge to resolve issues proactively
Authority & Council Liaison
- Coordinate with local councils and approval authorities
- Manage authority conditions, approvals and compliance requirements
- Council or public-sector exposure is highly regarded
Client & Commercial Exposure
- Direct interaction with clients and landowners
- Assist with fee proposals, project reporting and commercial decision-making
- Contribute to broader business and project strategy discussions
About You
This role will suit someone who:
- Is a PM or Senior PM ready to step into a full development lifecycle role
- Has hands-on experience with civil contractors, ideally in land development
- Is technically competent in civil construction (without needing to be a designer)
- Has prior exposure to WHS systems and site safety requirements, including safety audits
- Understands how projects are delivered on the ground
- Is local and comfortable working on site across South-West Sydney
Personal Attributes (Critical)
- Highly proactive — you don't wait to be told what to do
- Driven and commercially minded
- Takes initiative, ownership and accountability
- Comfortable working in a small team where you have real influence
- Enjoys responsibility and visibility rather than hiding in a large organisation
Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or similar
Demonstrated experience (5-10 years) in:
Land development projects
Civil construction or contractor-side delivery
Council or authority experience is a strong advantage
- Current driver's licence (essential)
- Australian work authorisation is required at time of application
Why This Role?
- Exposure to the full development lifecycle
- Direct access to the Director and senior decision-making
- Genuine client-facing role
- Hands-on, practical involvement
- Opportunity to grow with the business and shape your future role
- Local projects with minimal long-distance travel
- Never have to travel to the CBD
