An exciting part time opportunity has arisen for an accounts expert to join our organisation. If you are experienced with a broad range of accounts experience and looking to join a team in the insurance building industry, this role is for you

  • Part-Time | Monday to Friday | 9:00am to 2:30pm

This position is working within a fast-paced department, your ability to offer high quality work in a high-volume environment coupled with your previous all-round accounts experience will ensure your success in this role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable tasks
  • Reconciliation of daily bank statements
  • Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific guidelines
  • Data entry of creditor and invoice details
  • Monitor and action the accounts email
  • Process credit card payments and reconcile corporate credit card statements
  • Liaise with insurance companies and the insured
  • Arranging travel and accommodation and processing HBCF applications
  • Maintaining records, filing and other general administrative tasks as required

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in accounts payable & receivable functions
  • Experience using Xero and MYOB
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong numerical, problem solving and analytical skills
  • High level computer skills with the ability to pick up in-house systems with ease
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • The ability to handle highly sensitive information and adhere to strict confidentiality policies
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities with a calm and professional approach
  • A team oriented and customer focused disposition, coupled with an accountable and results driven attitude
  • Previous experience in home insurance, residential construction or similar will be highly regarded
