The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Graduate or 1st year Lawyer to join our
Family Law Team in our branch office in Liverpool
. We are looking for an applicant who has a keen interest in this area of law and aspires to a long-term career, with opportunities for progression, within our growing
Family Law
practice.

Skills and experience we would love

We expect that the successful applicant would:

  • have a desire to specialise in
    Family Law;
  • possess excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • maturity and confidence in dealing with all stakeholder associated with running a family law matter;
  • have the ability to work autonomously and handle your own matters;
  • have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long-lasting relationships;
  • provide a high-quality client service;
  • be able to work in a team environment; and
  • have effective time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Handling Family Law files with minimal supervision;
  • Provide timely and practical legal advice to clients;
  • Liaise with clients, third parties and Counsel;
  • Conduct legal research;
  • Preparing financial disclosure, Court documents including initiating Applicants and Affidavits;
  • Briefing Counsel;
  • Attending Court and Conciliations; and
  • Attending and conducting client meetings.
