Are you a motivated and reliable individual looking to kick-start your career in the Building & Construction industry? Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a 1st Year Shopfitter & Joiner Apprentice in Belmont.

About the role:

This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience in. Your duties will include:

  • Assist in the manufacture, preparation, and installation of shopfitting and joinery items under supervision.
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship through consistent quality checks and attention to detail.
  • Ensure workshop and site cleanliness, organisation, and security daily.
  • Manage materials, tools, and deliveries efficiently, including stock control and waste management.
  • Collaborate effectively with supervisors and tradespeople, asking questions to develop skills and knowledge.

What we're looking for?

  • Punctual, reliable, and energetic with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of plans & drawings
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and work at heights, with a focus on safety
  • Certificate II in Construction or Construction Pathways
  • A valid Driver's Licence and vehicle & White Card

Our client, a family-owned company, located in Belmont has been servicing the Newcastle & Lake Macquarie region for almost 50 years. Our client specialises in projects including the manufacturing and installation of joinery for medical centres, banks, health insurer branches as well as retail fit outs.
