Mason Lawyers operates in a wide range of practice areas, including commercial litigation, estate litigation, family law, conveyancing, estate planning, deceased estates and commercial contracts.
We currently have offices across three locations: our head office at Mayfield, and branches at Belmont and Warners Bay. All three offices house our conveyancing, estate planning and deceased estate teams, whilst our Mayfield office also houses our litigation and family law teams. We're local lawyers who live and work where our clients do. We pride ourselves on being a firm that takes care of people, a philosophy that extends to both clients and team members.

The RoleAs our firm continues to grow, a rare opportunity has arisen for a lawyer to work closely with our Director, gaining invaluable experience in a range of different practice areas.
We are looking for someone with:
- With not less than 2 years experience in litigation, irrespective of the practice area.
- An interest and willingness to gain experience across a wide range of litigation matters, in particular estate disputes and commercial litigation.
Working under the direct supervision of the Director in our head office at Mayfield, we are on the lookout for someone who is motivated and assertive, with excellent technical skills and a meticulous eye for detail.
This role involves significant contact with clients, as well as other solicitors, barristers and mediators, so excellent communication skills are a must.
The Director is a specialist in commercial, corporate and taxation matters. He practices in a range of areas, including:
- Family provisions claims & estate litigation
- Commercial & General Litigation
- Estate Planning, primarily in complex matters with testamentary trusts
- Commercial Contracts & other commercial matters
- Business Succession Planning, including Shareholder Agreements
- Taxation matters
- Property Development & other real estate matters
If successful, you will be:
- Taking conduct of your own litigation matters, with direct mentoring and support from the Director.
- Providing assistance and support the Director in the conduct of other litigation matters, with individual tasks in files being delegated.
- Gaining invaluable exposure to a range of practice areas whilst gaining invaluable transferrable skills.
The role does not involve any family law or non-litigious work.
Work from home and other flexible work arrangements are available.
About YouThis position is best suited to a lawyer with some experience who wants exposure to a diverse range of litigation areas, so they can decide what area they really want to focus on in their future career.
Over time, once you have decided your preferred practice areas, the focus will shift to mentoring you and developing your skills as a specialist in your chosen litigation field.
Ideally, you will have 2+ years post admission experience, but we will consider applications from more experienced lawyers (and would be prepared to hire and remunerate accordingly).
Details of your prior experience, including practice areas, should be included in your application. Please also include your levels of know-how when it comes to Microsoft Word, Outlook & LEAP.
This is your opportunity to become a key member of the Mason Lawyers team. All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
