About Us:

At Modern Furniture, we specialise in contemporary, high-quality home and office furniture. With a strong reputation for style, reliability and service, we are looking for an experienced Sales and Customer Service Representative to join our team in-house at our Cheltenham showroom to support our ongoing growth.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, in-house position based at our Cheltenham location. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our retail and commercial clients by:

  • Assisting showroom walk-ins and helping customers select the right furniture solutions
  • Handling phone and email enquiries with professionalism and efficiency
  • Following up on leads, preparing quotes and processing sales
  • Providing after-sales support and resolving customer queries
  • Maintaining product knowledge and staying informed about new arrivals and promotions
  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of the showroom
About You:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in retail sales or customer service (furniture or interior design industry preferred)
  • Candidates with less than 5 years' experience will be considered if they have specific furniture industry experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident in handling both face-to-face and digital customer interactions
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • A team player who is proactive and solutions-driven
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Tech-savvy with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems (MYOB a bonus)
  • Australian work rights are required for this position
