Your New Role
As a Social Work Assistant within Metro South Health, you'll provide vital support to the Social Work Department, contributing to patient care and service delivery under the supervision of qualified Social Workers. You will:
- Provide delegated patient interventions and assist in delivering education or group sessions.
- Maintain accurate patient records in line with organisational standards.
- Manage resources and stock to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Actively contribute to teamwork through meetings, case discussions, and patient support activities.

- Demonstrable ability to provide patient support under professional delegation.
- Strong communication skills, with cultural sensitivity and respect for confidentiality.
- The ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and seek guidance where required.
- A commitment to teamwork, service quality, and continuous improvement.

Logan Hospital
Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion .
