Senior Associate - Insurance Broker (Care, Community & Education Specialty)

If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, we have an excellent opportunity for someone to join our Sydney office as a Senior Associate and be part of our Care, Community & Education Specialty team.

What will you be doing?

  • Portfolio Management
    – End-to-end management of mid-market/corporate clients (including monthly forecast reporting) and support colleagues on larger accounts.
  • Business Development
    – Contribute to new business activities and identify and develop new business prospects.
  • Relationship Building
    – Develop and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders, specifically clients, insurance markets and distribution partners.
  • Client Advice
    – Provide personalised advice to clients in all matters affecting their insurance program needs, including explaining insurance policy conditions, risks covered, premium rates and benefits, and to make recommendations on the amount and type of cover.
  • Business Retention
    – Contribute to business retention activities. This includes all forms of customer service and broking standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Be capable of following directions and working collaboratively with others, while also being self-motivated and able to manage own workload.
  • Be able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
  • Have a high level of attention to detail, quality standards and compliance.
  • Be proactive and responsive to client requirements with problem solving ability.
  • Have a strong 'can-do' attitude, work ethic and willingness for career development

You will need the following experience and qualifications:

  • Tier 1 qualification in Insurance Broking.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in the insurance industry.
  • Be presentable, confident and professional as the role will require you to liaise with clients on behalf of our business.
  • Knowledge of insurance products, legislative obligations and claim processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • WinBEAT experience or other similar software experience preferable.
