Campbelltown, New South Wales, Australia The Weft Advisory Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

The Weft Advisory Accounting is a professional accounting and business advisory practice dedicated to supporting Australian individuals, SMEs, and service providers in regulated industries such as NDIS, aged care, property, and professional services.

Our Vision

To empower clients to make confident financial decisions through clarity, compliance, and proactive strategic advice.

Our Mission

To bridge the gap between compliance and growth by providing tailored accounting and advisory solutions that strengthen financial performance and sustainability.

Our Core Services

  • Accounting & Compliance: Preparation of financial statements, BAS, PAYG, and ASIC reporting.
  • Taxation Advisory: Business structuring, CGT strategies, trust and company taxation, and Division 7A management.
  • NDIS & Aged Care Accounting: Plan and provider claim reconciliation, funding audits, compliance reviews, and pricing analysis.
  • Business Advisory: Cash flow forecasting, financial modelling, due diligence, and growth planning.
  • Payroll & Bookkeeping: Real-time financial reporting, award interpretation (SCHADS, Cleaning, etc.), and superannuation compliance.

Our Approach

We take a hands-on, relationship-driven approach. Every engagement begins with understanding your business model, financial risks, and objectives. From there, we tailor practical solutions that are technically sound and forward-looking — ensuring compliance while unlocking opportunities for performance improvement.

About the Role

We are seeking a Heavy Intermediate Accountant to join our growing team. This role suits someone who's technically strong, client-focused, and ready to take ownership of complex assignments while working closely with senior advisors and partners.

You will be exposed to a wide range of accounting and advisory work, including tax compliance, business structuring, audit preparation, and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, FBT, and PAYG summaries for companies, trusts, and individuals.
  • Assist with tax planning, restructuring, and business advisory projects.
  • Review and reconcile client accounts; perform variance and analytical reviews.
  • Liaise with clients directly to manage deliverables, queries, and ATO correspondence.
  • Support audit file preparation, workpapers, and reconciliations where applicable.
  • Assist with NDIS and aged care sector clients on compliance and claim reconciliations.
  • Contribute to process improvement and cloud-system optimisation (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, etc.).

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Commerce (essential).
  • Currently completing or near completion of CA/CPA.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of public practice experience.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian tax and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in Xero, Xero Practice Manager, and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Mid-level accounting professional with demonstrated technical competency and client management experience.
Why Join The Weft Advisory?

At The Weft Advisory, you won't just be "doing tax returns." You'll be part of a modern, forward-thinking advisory firm where your ideas are valued, your growth is supported, and your work genuinely makes an impact.

We're not your typical accounting practice — we blend technical precision with real-world advisory across sectors like NDIS, aged care, and small business consulting. As a Heavy Intermediate Accountant, you'll work directly with business owners, help shape strategic financial outcomes, and be mentored by experienced partners who want to see you thrive.

If you're ready to move beyond compliance and become a trusted business advisor, this is your opportunity to take that next step in your professional journey — within a firm that values intelligence, integrity, and initiative as much as technical skill.

How to Apply

If you are a proactive and technically strong accountant looking to take the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.
