Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer based in the Greater Melbourne Area. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing truck bodies and trailers, performing simulations and analyses, and ensuring compliance with Australian standards. Daily tasks include drafting technical specifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting tests on prototypes, and providing technical support for manufacturing processes. The role requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement in design and production methods.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Designing and Developing Mechanical Systems
  • Experience with Simulations, Analyses, and Technical Specifications
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards and Compliance Regulations for Heavy Vehicles
  • Skills in CAD software and 3D Modeling
  • Project Management and Cross-functional Team Collaboration Skills
  • Strong Problem-solving and Analytical Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Prior experience in the automotive or transport industry is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on-site in the Greater Melbourne Area
