Fyfe work with a wide range of clients in the Energy & Resources, Infrastructure and Property sectors to provide high quality, commercially pragmatic solutions with a strong focus on client service and delivery. Additionally, Fyfe is actively involved in helping our clients with their Energy transition goals across a broad range of solutions including renewables, hydrogen and bio-methane.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 depending on experience.

About the role

Our South Australia Energy and Resources Engineering Division delivers specialist energy, mining, hydrogen and renewable energy projects across the country. These include process plant modifications, upstream flowlines, well leases, network gathering systems, major gas transmission pipelines, above ground processing facilities, as well as hydrogen facilities such as pipelines, refuelling stations, compression, microgrids and various renewable energy projects.

Our Adelaide office is currently recruiting for a number Mechanical Engineers due to our growing portfolio of work.

What to expect:

Apart from working with a great group of people, you will be accountable for:

  • Preparation and review of engineering design documents
  • Engineering calculations and datasheets
  • Equipment sizing and selection
  • Piping stress analysis
  • Engineering of skid-based equipment
  • Pipeline engineering
  • Integrity engineering
  • Interaction with inter discipline engineers to execute multidiscipline projects

Your background:

  • You are a Mechanical Engineer or Senior Mechanical Engineer with years' experience and have ambition to progress to a lead role in the next couple of years.
  • You have experience in the delivery of piping engineering design within the local oil and gas industry.
  • You have demonstrated experience with piping stress analysis and checking isometrics and piping arrangements.
  • You have practical working knowledge of Australian mechanical and piping design standards (ASME B31.3, AS4041, AS2885).
  • You demonstrate analytical and technical report writing skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • You enjoy working on a diverse range of projects.
  • You are a strong communicator and respectful of your peers.
