**MECHANICAL FITTER - MELBOURNE**

BDS Mechanical has an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical fitter to join our team.
- Must hold an **Australian-recognised trade qualification** (e.g., Fitter/Turner, Engineering - Mechanical Trade)

BDS Mechanical Repairs is a growing business that offers mechanical, auto electrical and welding repairs both in house and onsite with 22 fixed workshop locations throughout Queensland. We have over 160 field service units and the team at BDS cover over 600,000 km2 of Queensland and Western Australia, meaning we’re never too far away. We are a privately owned business that looks after our staff and value a healthy work life balance.
- Relevant trade qualification
- Experience as a mechanical fitter
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work apart of a team
- Great workshop, mechanical and diagnostic knowledge
- CSE, WAH, GTA and white card

**The Job**:

- Review dimensions from sketches, diagrams, and blueprints
- Determine the order of steps to create the fabricated components
- Using grinding and sawing tools
- Conduct inspections to make sure machines and tools work correctly
- Identify malfunctioning equipment and plans to fix them
- Perform maintenance
- Documenting findings of safety audits
