An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to join the dynamic team at Nepean Hospital.

In this pivotal role, you will provide Leadership, Education and Clinical support to Nursing staff, fostering excellence in clinical practice and patient care. You'll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality education and training programs that promote professional development and ensure best practice standards are met across the service.

This role will see you develop, implement and evaluate clinical education programs that support the professional growth and competency of Nursing staff, facilitate orientation, ongoing training, and competency assessments for new and existing staff. Your day will see you collaborate with Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Consultants and Senior Clinicians to identify learning needs and support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and review of policies, procedures, and educational frameworks aligned with NSW Health standards.

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
• Postgraduate Qualification in Education or Clinical Specialty (or working towards).
• Extensive Clinical Experience in Day Surgery, Pre-Admission/cCinical Screening or Perioperative environments.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver education programs.
• Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to work in a consultative manner.
• Demonstrated previous experience in Clinical Teaching, Mentoring and Preceptorship.
• Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
• Commitment to working with NUM to establish and maintain a learning environment that values commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice.
