The Opportunity

Are you an experienced operations professional ready to play a vital role in the smooth running of a growing school community? The Islamic College of Brisbane, located in Karawatha QLD, Australia, is seeking a dedicated College Operations Coordinator to join our team.

This full-time position is central to the daily operations of the College, ensuring continuity across staff relief coverage, staff leave management, complaints triaging, and administrative workflows. Working closely with leadership, teaching, and support staff, this role provides essential support to ensure the College operates efficiently and effectively in support of students, staff, and families.

Selection Criteria

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Relevant qualifications in business administration, management, or a related field (degree preferred, or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in operations, administration, or coordination, ideally in an educational environment.
  • Experience supervising or coordinating teams to ensure efficient operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with students, staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage staff relief and leave administration with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated capability in complaints triaging and resolution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and school systems (TASS desirable).
  • Ability to work autonomously, while fostering collaboration within a team environment.
  • A valid Blue Card (Working with Children).
  • Full support of the Islamic ethos, values and practices of the College.
