About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Allocator to join our hardworking team in Wetherill Park, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimising the deployment of our fleet and resources to ensure efficient and on-time delivery of goods for our valued clients.

Location: Wetherill Park- onsite in office.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00am start.

Candidates must be available for early morning start times as required by operational demands.

What you'll be doing

  • Allocate jobs and resources to drivers and subcontractors, ensuring efficient route planning and timely delivery of goods
  • Monitor vehicle movements and adjust plans in real-time to respond to operational changes or disruptions
  • Communicate with drivers, clients and other stakeholders to provide updates and promptly resolve issues
  • Collaborate with operations to maximise fleet utilisation and minimise downtime
  • Identify process improvements and recommend strategies to enhance operational efficiency
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of scheduling and dispatch systems
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on fleet utilisation and service performance
  • Working closely with the Operations Manager to prioritise workload and achieve business objectives

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in operations coordination or transport planning is required.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a solution-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in fleet management, scheduling and dispatch systems and Microsoft Excel is essential for this role.
  • Knowledge of the transport and logistics industry, including relevant regulations and compliance requirements (Ensuring NHVR regulations, fatigue laws and safety standards are met)
