Salary – $146,831 -- $149,739 pa plus superannuation and leave loading

What you'll do

As an Assessor you will, under delegation of the Commissioner of Victims Rights, assess and determine applications for victims support within the provisions of the Victims Rights & Support Act 2013.

Applications are decided in accordance with legislation, policies, procedures, administrative law principles and service standards. The Assessor has a high level of discretion in making their decisions.

The role provides applicants with individualised written decisions setting out the reasons for the decision. The written decisions are made in accordance with administrative law principles, including sufficiency of reasons, and show an understanding of therapeutic jurisprudence.

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Law, Psychology or Social Work
  • Holds, or has an ability to obtain a baseline security clearance
