About us

Sacred Heart Primary School has a clear Catholic identity with regular prayer and liturgical celebrations as well as the teaching of Religious Education. Your Role

Applications are invited for the position of Prep Classroom Support Assistant, to commence as soon as possible, or as negotiated with the successful applicant. This is a term-time continuing position for 26.5hpw.

As a Teacher Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting classroom teachers and students in their learning journey. Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with classroom activities, including lesson preparation and resource organisation
• Providing one-on-one or small group support to students, including students with additional needs.
• Monitoring student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers
• Assisting with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and organising educational materials.

About you

The successful applicant will have an understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic education. In addition, you will have excellent time management skills and well developed interpersonal skills.

A Food Safety Certificate or the willingness to obtain one would be advantageous.

Mandatory Requirements

• A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
