Yeppoon, Queensland, Australia BRC Tax and SMSF Audits Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

As an Intermediate Accountant at BRC Tax & Accounting, you'll play a key role in supporting our clients with quality taxation and business services. Working side-by-side with the Partner, you'll be exposed to all areas of accounting — from tax compliance and client advisory through to process improvement — in a firm that values growth, learning, and balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts
  • Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT, and PAYG obligations across a variety of structures
  • Liaise directly with clients to manage queries, deadlines, and documentation
  • Work collaboratively with the Partner to ensure client work is completed accurately and on time
  • Assist in refining internal systems and maintaining accuracy within accounting processes
  • Participate in training and contribute to the firm's ongoing growth and improvement
About You
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Chartered or Public Accounting Practice
  • CA/CPA qualification completed or in progress
  • Must have completed at least 50% of CA/CPA qualification requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Proficient with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software
  • Solid understanding of tax compliance and accounting principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational, and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering outstanding client service
  • Must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this position
