Lead WHS Initiatives Across a Premier Citrus Agribusiness
About the Company

The Role
As the Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager, you will be responsible for leading WHS functions and supporting site leaders across all farm and pack shed operations. Your key focus will be building a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with leaders to drive WHS compliance and safety initiatives across farms and packing facilities
- Provide coaching and leadership to managers, WHS Committees, and Health & Safety Representatives
- Monitor, analyze, and investigate reported injuries, incidents, and near misses
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented to minimize risks
- Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits
- Lead Return to Work programs, working closely with injured workers and medical professionals
- Support the implementation of safety management systems and WHS strategic plans
- Manage and improve site inductions for employees, contractors, and visitors
- Drive health and wellbeing initiatives for seasonal workers, including Pacific Labour Scheme participants
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels to promote continuous safety improvements
About You
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced WHS professional who can lead by example and drive a proactive safety culture.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a WHS role
- Degree qualification in WHS or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Comprehensive knowledge of WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and industry standards
- Strong analytical skills to assess safety metrics and identify areas for improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and coach leaders
- Ability to manage incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety audits
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to challenge the status quo
- Willingness to travel locally and maintain a strong presence on-site
