Job Summary
As we kick on further into the delivery of Inland Rail, we are now looking for a Senior Project Engineer, with a mix of Civil/Structural experience, strong TfNSW and contractor management skills to help manage the delivery of a major part of the project. It is important that the person can demonstrate experience with managing contracts up to $60M, ideally in similar roles on TfNSW projects.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support to the greater team to facilitate the civil construction process.
- Ensure design deliverables are clearly defined in support of construction and project deliverables.
- Maintain positive relationships with client representatives.
- Actively develop work packages in support of project construction activities, defining scope of works, materials, and resource requirements
- Support and assist the construction team in the execution of the project on time and to budget.
- Ensure that all construction is completed in accordance with the Project Quality Management Plan and Workplace Health and Safety standards.
- Directly influence the safety culture through the promotion of safe work practices to all project personnel
- Perform technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement and quality control functions for all activities at site
- Implement the inspection and test requirements of the Project Execution Plan
- Continually monitor work team, promoting learning and development opportunities in support of current and future project requirements and their own career development opportunities
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in a relevant engineering field such as Civil OR Structural
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of projects.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage complex issues.
- Highly desirable previous experience of managing WAD agreements
