Position Overview:

We're seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Project Engineer to lead the delivery of complex energy projects across Australia. This pivotal role oversees engineering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and timely execution. You'll manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with stakeholders across Construction, Contractors, Procurement, Engineering Design, Project Development, and Asset Management to deliver critical infrastructure in a dynamic and safety-focused environment.

About You

You are a strategic thinker with a strong technical foundation and a passion for delivering impactful energy solutions. You thrive in fast-paced environments, bring clarity to complex challenges, and lead with integrity and professionalism. Your collaborative style and decisive approach make you a trusted leader across diverse teams.

About Your Skills

• Strong understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and quality control
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management tools (e.g. P6, MS Project)
• High-level business and commercial acumen
• Exceptional report writing and documentation skills
• Commitment to ethical standards and professional conduct
• Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
• Registration as a Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or demonstrated capability through relevant experience and qualifications

Desired Experience

• Proven experience in project engineering or management within energy, infrastructure, or construction sectors
• Track record in delivering energy projects (e.g. power generation, transmission lines, substations, renewable energy)
• Knowledge of energy storage and EV charging infrastructure
• Experience managing construction contracts and leading teams
• Involvement in industry associations or government consultative groups
  Strong grasp of risk management processes and documentation
