Job Summary
As we kick on further into the delivery of Inland Rail, we are now looking for a Senior Project Engineer, with a mix of Civil/Structural experience, strong TfNSW and contractor management skills to help manage the delivery of a major part of the project. It is important that the person can demonstrate experience with managing contracts up to $60M, ideally in similar roles on TfNSW projects.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support to the greater team to facilitate the civil construction process.
  • Ensure design deliverables are clearly defined in support of construction and project deliverables.
  • Maintain positive relationships with client representatives.
  • Actively develop work packages in support of project construction activities, defining scope of works, materials, and resource requirements
  • Support and assist the construction team in the execution of the project on time and to budget.
  • Ensure that all construction is completed in accordance with the Project Quality Management Plan and Workplace Health and Safety standards.
  • Directly influence the safety culture through the promotion of safe work practices to all project personnel
  • Perform technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement and quality control functions for all activities at site
  • Implement the inspection and test requirements of the Project Execution Plan
  • Continually monitor work team, promoting learning and development opportunities in support of current and future project requirements and their own career development opportunities

Qualifications And Experience

  • Proven experience in a relevant engineering field such as Civil OR Structural
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of projects.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage complex issues.
  • Highly desirable previous experience of managing WAD agreements
