Your New Role

As Senior Manager, Insurance Product, you'll lead the strategy, management, and continuous improvement of Aware Super's insurance product offering. You'll collaborate across teams and with external partners to ensure products are market-leading, compliant, and deliver great outcomes for members. This is a pivotal role for someone passionate about member-focused innovation and driving growth through insurance solutions. This role is available on a 9 month contract basis.

  • Develop and implement insurance product strategy, collaborating with stakeholders to align with member and employer needs.
  • Oversee product management, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and clear communication of product changes.
  • Support digital, marketing, and member experience initiatives to enhance engagement and uptake of insurance products.
  • Prepare Board and Committee papers, and provide technical expertise for organisational projects and regulatory reviews.
  • Build and manage relationships with insurers, advisers, employers, and internal teams to deliver sustainable, high-quality services.

How do you exceed our expectations?

  • The idea of being part of our growth is exciting and you want to play a pivotal role in making super simple.
  • In-depth knowledge of superannuation, insurance, and retirement products, with experience in product development and member-centred design.
  • Skilled in interpreting insurance policy terms and navigating underwriting and claims processes.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and prepare high-level reporting for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship builder and negotiator, adept at collaborating across functions and managing diverse workloads.
  • Holds relevant tertiary qualifications (Commerce, Economics, Finance, Management) and ideally RG146 accreditation; experience in not-for-profit or member-based organisations is valued.
  • You are balanced in accepting risk in any decision you face. You are curious to understand risk context and choose to speak up as we simplify, learn and grow.

Employee Experience

We understand that not everyone works in the same ways. We value flexibility and know that it helps you manage work and life.

Why you'll love working at Aware Super:
