About the role

This is a full-time position based in Eight Mile Plains on a 12-month contract. We're looking for a Customer Intake Officer to be the friendly first point of contact for new CHSP clients, their families, and referrers. In this pivotal role, you'll coordinate each client's journey from the first enquiry through to service commencement, ensuring a smooth, positive experience every step of the way. You'll work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to understand support needs, design tailored solutions, and ensure all administrative processes are accurate and compliant. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who thrives on connection, organisation, and purpose-driven work.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Be the welcoming voice for new clients and their families — managing enquiries, referrals, and onboarding.
  • Coordinate service quotes, agreements, and client records with precision and care.
  • Navigate the aged care referral system (My Aged Care) to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information in the CRM.
  • Conduct follow-up calls to ensure satisfaction and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with Care Coordinators and the Regional Lead to provide exceptional client experiences.

Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in a similar role (aged care, health, or community services)
  • Knowledge of the Aged Care Act, CHSP Guidelines, and Aged Care Quality Standards (or willingness to learn)
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of older people
  • Strong documentation, time management, and organisational skills

Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (yellow card)
  • QLD Blue card (working with children's check)
  • NDIS Orientation Module: "Quality, Safety & You"
  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care (highly desirable)
