Role Description

You will manage day-to-day financial operations and provide vital support to our construction team. You'll ensure accurate record-keeping, cash-flow forecasting, compliance, and cost control across multiple projects. Working closely with project managers, site supervisors, suppliers, and subcontractors, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations across all aspects of the business.

"$70,000–$85, FTE + super (pro-rata for 3 days per week)"

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage
    Accounts Payable & Receivable
    – supplier invoices, subcontractor claims, client invoicing, and debtor follow-ups.
  • Handle
    Payroll & Compliance
    – process payroll, ensure statutory compliance (PAYG, super, workers' comp, etc.), and maintain employee records.
  • Deliver
    Financial Reporting & Reconciliation
    – project cost reports, cash-flow forecasting, monthly reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Support
    Construction Project Finances
    – budgets, cost codes, expense allocation, and monitoring job profitability.

You're detail-oriented, proactive, and act with agency & initiative. Ideally, you bring:

  • Previous experience in an accounts/finance role, preferably within the
    construction industry
    .
  • Knowledge of AP/AR, payroll, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with
    Procore, Smoothlink, Xero
    (or similar).
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence managing multiple priorities.
  • A problem-solving mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications

  • Certificate/Bachelor in Accounting, Commerce Bookkeeping, or related field.
  • Construction industry knowledge or background highly regarded.
  • Experience in Smoothlink, Xero and Procore technologies preferable.
