As the part of a high performing Industrial Relations team, your key responsibilities will include facilitating complex industrial agreements and EA negotiations including research, strategy and implementation and provide advice on a range of complex industrial and compliance issues. You will demonstrate effective business partnering by anticipating ongoing IR needs of your client group and providing counsel and support to achieve business objectives.
Additionally, you will facilitate formal negotiations and consultation, manage dispute resolution process and build positive and productive working relationships with relevant unions, management and business colleagues, to facilitate achievement of business objectives, key transformational activities and foster a positive industrial climate.
We are looking for experienced practitioners at both the Manager, Industrial Relations and Senior Manager, Industrial Relations level.
What you'll bring to the role:
- 5+ years experience in a similar role (10+ for the Senior Manager level)
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Industrial Relations &/or management discipline &/or equivalent industry experience
- Refined negotiation, bargaining and advocacy skills
- Highly developed compliance advisory and stakeholder management capability
- Excellent communication, literacy, numeracy and interpersonal skills
- Ability to distil/condense complex issues to reach an optimum pragmatic solution
- Strong analytical skills and high degree of problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work within time constraints and meet absolute deadlines
- Superior leadership and motivational skills
- Thorough and lateral thinker who can analyse multiple options
