SSA are working with a top MEP Services Contractor in Brisbane seeking an experienced and connected Business Development Manager to join their team.About the Role:Reporting directly to the Directors and Operations Managers, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities with government agencies, building contractors and facility management clients. You will also be responsible for maintaining and further developing relationships with existing clients.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies targeting government and FM contracts
  • Identify, track, and pursue tender opportunities across local and state
  • Lead the preparation, writing, and submission of tenders, EOIs, and proposals
  • Build and maintain networks with procurement officers, decision-makers, and service providers
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to guide strategy
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing clients to secure repeat and long-term contracts
  • Attend client meetings, present ABM's capabilities, and negotiate agreements
  • Work with Directors to deliver sustainable business growth and revenue targets

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in business development, sales, or tendering roles
  • Minimum 6+ years' experience working in the QLD MEP Construction/Services industry
  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining professional relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and convert opportunities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with tender writing experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence
