The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Manager, HR Operations to join our Corporate Services Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

The Manager, HR Operations is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of a high-quality, contemporary human resources service delivery function across PIRSA, that contributes effectively to the achievement of strategic priorities and ensures compliance with public sector legislation.

This includes in the areas of organisational design and workforce planning, classification and remuneration, recruitment, contract management, organisational change, HR policy development and review, performance management, and employee relations.

As a strategic partner to leaders and managers across the Agency, the Manager, HR Operations will ensure the provision of timely, accurate expert advice through a proactive HR business partnering model and fit-for-purpose people solutions.

This critical role will lead the development, implementation and review of HR policies, procedures, guidelines and systems that align with public sector legislation, meet operational requirements and contribute to PIRSA's goal to be an employer of choice.

Special Conditions

  • Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
  • Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
  • Opportunity up to July 2026.
  • Full time, 37.5 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Possession of a current driver's licence and willingness to drive is required
  • Out of hours work and intrastate travel will be required.
  • You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations.
  • This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. By applying for this role, you consent to being screened under the process of obtaining a National Police Clearance (NPC), and to the Department requiring you to obtain a National Police Clearance (NPC).
  • The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.

Remuneration

ASO8 - $121,107 min - $125,679 max per annum, plus superannuation
