The Position
We are seeking an experienced ICT Help Desk Technician to join our Information Services team. The successful candidate must have the ability to assist with help desk support, understand basic hardware and software trouble shooting and have previous experience with data control assets & maintenance of backup schedules.
Day to day duties include (but not limited to):
- Provide prompt, efficient and effective helpdesk assistance to a variety of users
- Utilising computer software to complete IS functions
- Complete daily data control processing of asset provisioning lifecycle
- Perform daily operations of checking backups and escalating issues
- Assist IS Trainee/s to understand the environment and train them on processes required
- Where required provide afterhours support and participate in on-call roster
- Deal with confidential information appropriately
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders while adhering to privacy and confidentiality policies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Identification of application owners and data custodians, and identification of their roles and responsibilities

Demonstrated previous experience in an IT Service Desk or Desktop Support role
Extensive experience in the provision of first and second level ICT Support with a Customer Service focus
Extensive experience in supporting the Microsoft Technology Stack including Windows 10/11, MS Office / 365, SCCM, SCOM, InTune
Experience in VMWare, Veeam, and HPE StoreOnce environment.
Intermediate networking knowledge. (HP, Aruba desirable)
Experience in the provision of support via multiple engagement methods and via differing methods of delivery including Remote Support technologies and site visits
Experience in the deployment of ICT Assets ranging from Desktops, Laptops, Tablets and Multi- Function Devices
Experience in basic Database Management (desirable)
Experience in the procurement of ICT equipment including the selection of Standard ICT Devices (desirable)
