At Rechenberg Security & Locksmiths, we're on the lookout for someone vibrant to join our team in Shopfront Sales in our Bundaberg CBD office.

About the role

Be the friendly face of our Bundaberg shop. You will help customers choose the right security products and perform hands on bench work in our workshop.

Day to day you will

  • Serve customers in store and by phone and email
  • Advise on locks, safes, CCTV and alarm products
  • Cut standard and transponder keys and program remotes where required
  • Key alike cylinders rekey and repair domestic and commercial locks at the bench
  • Troubleshoot basic product issues and arrange repairs or bookings for our field technicians
  • Process sales through point of sale, maintain tidy displays and manage basic stock tasks

About you

  • You like working with your hands and enjoy solving technical problems
  • Confident communicator with a helpful customer first approach
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
  • Comfortable using small tools and machinery and happy to learn new skills
  • Must demonstrate basic DIY level competence with small tools and machinery
  • Workshop familiarity with small tools and machinery is required
  • Must possess computer skills for point of sale operations and product lookups
  • Current Queensland drivers licence is required
  • Able to pass a National Police Check
  • Must be 18 years or older to meet police check security licence requirements
  • Able to obtain and hold a Queensland Security Advisors Licence
  • Have full Australian working rights

Nice to have

  • Retail hardware or trade counter experience
  • Prior exposure to locksmithing, key cutting or security products
  • Interest in a locksmith or electronic security career pathway
