About The Role
In this position you will be responsible for the theatre bookings, theatre scheduling, managing vacant theatre lists and finalising theatre lists. You will be responsible for liaising with surgeons consulting suites, pathology providers and all members of the theatre team. You will be required to check and follow up any missing information required for finalising the theatre list.
The successful candidate will be able to build relationships, engage and ensure open communication, be flexible, able to think on the run and manage numerous tasks at once with a very high attention to detail.
What You'll Bring
You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and should be comfortable working in a team of doctors, nurses, medical professionals, administrators and non-clinical staff.
This role will suit an individual with proven medical administration experience.
You will also bring:
- Intermediate-advanced skills utilising the Microsoft office suite with ability to maintain data entry accuracy
- Previous experience in theatre or hospital bookings (highly desirable)
- Experience using Patient Information Systems (highly desirable i.e. Meditech)
- Certificate in Medical Terminology (Desirable)
- Experience in hospital mainframe systems (Desirable)
- A professional phone manner with experience managing incoming and outgoing calls
- Proven ability to work in a customer service focused environment.
- High attention to detail and ability to multi skill in a fast paced environment.
Remuneration:
On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
