About the role...
We are currently seeking an experienced General Manager - P&C, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. You will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team and will be responsible for building and implementing strategies around workforce planning, hiring, retention & succession planning; employee engagement; diversity & inclusion; performance management; training & development and health & well-being.
You would be joining Norths Collective which includes Norths Cammeray, The Greens North Sydney, The Alcott Lane Cove, The Verandah Beecroft, Seagulls Tweed Heads and The Bowlo Bangalow.
Your Key Priorities will be to:
• Strategy. Conceptualising and rolling out a HR Roadmap for short and long term business goals. Implementing and driving a communication and employee engagement strategy, and maintaining our EVP towards an 'Employer of Choice' status for Norths.
• Leadership Development and Succession Planning. Leadership coaching for the Leadership Team and upcoming talent. Workforce planning, performance appraisals, career / performance development and succession planning.
• Employee Relations and Recruitment. Supporting leaders for recruitment needs, performance management, grievances, terminations and compliance to legislative requirements.
• Operational Performance. Manage and oversee operational standards, budget, people and process management, including continuous improvement.
• Communication. Maintain effective communication and strong relationships with all key stakeholders including senior management, line managers, team members and the Board.
• Financial Management. Implement, achieve, monitor, financial reporting of the P&C business units budgets and KPIs with a focus on return on investment and strategic goals.
• Work, Safety, Health and Compliance. Actively support a range of best practice workplace relations and policies in accordance with Work, Health & Safety legislation obligations and in line with Norths Risk Management Program. Monthly reports to Board of compliance and legislative requirements of the club's Award/enterprise agreements and ER/IR related matters.
The Candidate:
• Extensive Human Resources Management experience at a senior level
• Comprehensive knowledge of HR practices and relevant legislation (including Enterprise Agreements)
• Extensive knowledge of a hospitality environment
• Bachelor in Human Resources or related field
• Substantial knowledge of Human Resources Information Management Systems (HRIS, LMS, etc.)
• Genuine care for the importance of our employees to the business
• Proven ability to manage the operational and strategic components of the P&C function
• Demonstrate a positive attitude no matter the situation.
