About the role...

We are currently seeking a passionate Senior P&C Advisor reporting directly to the GM P&C. You will be a true generalist with strong HR experience and relevant qualification. The successful candidate will be responsible for specialist advice with a focus on employment relations and injury management. You will be responsible for day-to-day operational activities, support the implementation of P&C strategies to improve employee experiences and promote a high performing workforce.

You would be joining Norths Collective which includes Norths Cammeray, The Greens North Sydney, The Alcott Lane Cove, The Verandah Beecroft, Seagulls Tweed Heads and The Bowlo Bangalow.

Your Key Priorities will be to:

  • Strategy. Develop and embed agile strategies for staff retention, engagement and recruitment needs with GM P&C to achieve business outcomes. All whilst driving development of our talent, succession planning and workforce planning across the group. Ensure strategies and practices are embedded and rolled out successfully across the Collective.
  • Communication and Partnering. Maintain effective communication with employees and other key stakeholders. Build strong relationships with employees and leaders and advise them on all people matters. Continuously coach and embed your people expertise and set our leaders up for success including workshops on P&C items.
  • Employee Relations. Support and coach all stakeholders with all matters relating to performance management, grievances, terminations, change management initiatives and ensuring adequate consultation and communication.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding. Assist and guide P&C Coordinator on recruitment and onboarding including bulk recruitment, induction and orientation programs, delivering on our EVP promise and partnering with stakeholders. Complete second tier recruitment or during peak recruitment assist with overflow.
  • Rewards. Assist and guide P&C Advisor for our reward and recognition programs including staff recognition events.
  • General Admin. Initial point of contact for employee relations, injury management, and you will act as point of escalation or assist on other P&C enquires when required. Administration of our P&C systems to ensure data integrity, overseeing reporting requirements. In addition, ensuring policies and procedures are in place and in line with legislation and best practice. Develop and organise training workshops to ensure best practice alongside GM P&C.
  • WHS and Compliance. Actively support and ensure compliance on a range of best practice workplace relations and policies in accordance with Work, Health and Safety obligations and in line with Norths Risk Management program. This includes injury management and RTW coordination.

The Candidate:

  • 4 + years experience in Human Resources
  • Strong background in Employee Relations and Injury Management (certified Return to Work Coordinator)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR practices and relevant legislation
  • Extensive knowledge of a hospitality environment
  • Bachelor in Human Resources or related field
  • Genuine care for the importance of our employees to the business
  • Great attention to detail and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage the operational and strategic components of the P&C function
  • Strong computer skills
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude no matter the situation.
