Part-Time Guest Services Assistant

The Jephson Hotel is a 4.5 star hotel located in Toowong, Brisbane. We are currently seeking a Guest Services Assistant, reporting to the Front Office Manager. The part-time position is currently for 20 to 25 hours per week and the successful candidate needs to be able to work weekdays and weekends.

Main Duties:

  • Reservations: making accommodation bookings through the "CMS Guest Centrix" booking system, from phone call, emails, travel agents and Online travel agents
  • Allocation of guest rooms and room keys
  • Ensure the smooth running of daily check-in / check-out processes
  • Taking guest payments and processing
  • Opening and Closing procedures
  • Administration duties
  • Dealing with guest and guest complaints
  • General duties as requested by Management
  • Night Manager sleep over nights (minimum 2 per week or as per roster)

We are seeking an individual who possesses the following:

  • 1-2 year previous experience in the Hotel or Hospitality Industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Enthusiastic team player
  • Well presented and good personal grooming
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Works well under pressure
  • Strong communication and a common sense approach to problem solving
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Must be able to multi task in a busy hotel
  • Availability to work weekdays, weekends and night manager sleepovers as per roster
  • Applicants must be Australian residents or working visa
