About the role

HT Road Surfacing is seeking experienced Asphalt Labourers to join our team on a casual basis with Full Time position for the right candidates. Based in Rocklea, QLD, this hands-on role will involve assisting with the preparation, laying and finishing of asphalt surfaces for a range of road construction and maintenance projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing the worksite and equipment for asphalt laying
  • Operating machinery and equipment such as rollers, pavers and compactors
  • Spreading, levelling and compacting asphalt to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment and tools
  • Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as an Asphalt Labourer/Foreman or similar role in the construction/road works industry
  • Ability to operate machinery and equipment such as rollers, pavers and compactors
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Willingness to work outdoors in a range of weather conditions
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Current driver's licence and reliable transportation
