The role

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Preparatory School Teacher to join our dynamic Years 3-6 team for a fixed-term full-time contract commencing in 2026. As a Preparatory School Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning journey of students in Years 3–6. You will deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and personal excellence. This role involves curriculum planning, assessment, reporting, and pastoral care, all within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated teacher who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about guiding students through their middle and upper primary years.

This role commences in January 2026 until December 2026.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Creation of a classroom culture which values curiosity, creativity, problem solving and the development of learner assets.
  • Plan learning and teaching programs that are built around children's development – linguistic, social, emotional, spiritual, creative, physical and cognitive ways of knowing.
  • Develop and promote experiences based on student needs and interests, incorporating opportunities for learning through inquiry and intentional teaching.
  • Create flexible environments that support inquiry learning and promote visible thinking routines, enabling students to engage, reflect, experiment and discover.
  • Adopts innovative practice that is responsive to student need.

About You

  • Hold a recognised primary teaching qualification.
  • A clear understanding and application of the Western Australian Curriculum.
  • Possesses well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships with students, staff and parents.
  • Demonstrates a passion for the middle and upper primary years and a willingness to work as required from Years 3-6.
  • Willingness to be involved in our co-curricular program.
  • Hold current Working with Children Check.
  • Hold a current TRBWA registration.
  • Proof of Right to Work in Australia.
