Northshore Christian Grammar School (NCGS), a thriving K–12 Christian school in Alkimos, invites applications from passionate and dedicated educators to fill a full-time Primary Teacher position for Term 4, 2025. This short-term contract role presents a meaningful opportunity to nurture young learners and make a lasting impact within a Christ-centred learning environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging and effective lessons aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum, EYLF and NQS where appropriate.
  • Foster a Christ-centred classroom environment that promotes student wellbeing, wonder, and joy in learning.
  • Use varied pedagogical strategies to cater to diverse learning needs, ensuring inclusive and best-practice teaching.
  • Participate actively in school and Primary Team activities, contributing to a strong, collaborative staff culture.
  • Provide meaningful and timely feedback to students and parents on academic, co-curricular and personal progress.
  • Implement effective classroom management and pastoral care strategies that align with school values and policies.
  • Support and participate in co-curricular programs and key school events such as parent evenings and end-of-year functions.
  • Integrate a biblical worldview into curriculum planning, teaching, and student engagement.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • A personal Christian faith and active involvement in a local church.
  • Agreement with SCEA's Statement of Faith, Foundational Beliefs, and Code of Conduct, and a lifestyle consistent with these principles.
  • Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
  • Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach using Inquiry Learning pedagogies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability and willingness to participate as a team member in the broader life of the school community.
  • A skill, interest, or passion that benefits student development beyond the classroom.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Christian Education environments.
  • Experience using technology to enhance learning and manage classroom operations.
  • High-level organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
