The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced
Electrical Project Manager
to lead the delivery of electrical switchboard and power distribution projects. You will manage projects from contract award to completion, ensuring they are delivered
on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
. This role combines
technical expertise, leadership, and stakeholder management
, making it ideal for a candidate with experience in electrical manufacturing or power distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring delivery aligns with contract requirements, scope, and budget.
  • Review project contracts, tender documents, specifications, and client drawings.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and programs.
  • Oversee project design handover, supporting and reviewing the work of design engineers.
  • Prepare and issue RFIs, variations, EOTs, and related project documentation.
  • Coordinate procurement to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
  • Liaise with production teams to monitor fabrication, assembly, and testing of switchboards.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning.
  • Maintain accurate project reporting and forecasting to management.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental systems.

About You

  • Trade qualification or degree in
    Electrical Engineering
    or a related field.
  • Proven experience in
    electrical project management
    , ideally in switchboard manufacturing or power distribution.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical design, switchboard fabrication, and installation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in project scheduling, cost control, and reporting.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
