Your Position:
You will be instrumental in the design and implementation of automated systems, develop engineering designs and calculations, complete drawings and onsite commissioning, and conduct testing to confirm functionality and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Your key focus areas in this role are as follows:
· Planning and designing electrical automation systems.
· Documenting engineering calculations, electrical drawings and manuals.
· Conducting factory testing, site commissioning and client witness testing.
· Working within the team to define scope, timelines, and costs.
· Designing, implementing, and optimizing automation systems, including PLC, SCADA, HMI, and other control systems.
· Ensuring the reliability and efficiency of automation systems and troubleshooting issues.
· Ensuring that all automation systems comply with relevant safety standards
· Identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation, developing and implementing new technologies.
· Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with automation projects and systems.
Qualifications: Tertiary qualified in Electrical Engineering, or extensive industry experience.
Must have permanent right to work in Australia or be an Australian/New Zealand citizen
Experience:
- Extensive experience in a related automation field.
- Experience in industrial automation, preferably in airport or materials handling system
Skills:
· Proficient in PLC programming, SCADA systems and other automation technologies.
· Working knowledge of machine safety requirements and safety in design procedures.
· Development and adherence to engineering design standards.
· Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
· Working knowledge of AS3000 and related standards and regulations.
· Ability to use CAD software AutoCAD Electrical or EPlan to develop electrical schematic drawings.
· Excellent verbal and written communication.
· Organised and able to work within a team to meet deadlines.
Graduate roles are also available within the Automation Team and recent graduates, with some experience within Electrical Engineering disciplines are encouraged to apply.
