The Opportunity

Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day financial processing of the firm and help ensure the smooth running of the office when the Practice Manager is not on site. This role offers negotiable, flexible hours (minimum 20 hours per week) to help you achieve a great work/life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial / Bookkeeping

  • Process payroll and maintain leave and entitlement records
  • Perform day-to-day bank reconciliations
  • Process accounts payable and manage creditor payments
  • Maintain and process the firm's trust account in line with compliance requirements
  • Assist with general financial administration tasks as required

Office Support

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations in the absence of the Practice Manager
  • Assist with the implementation of office policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with external service providers (e.g. IT support) as required
  • Provide general administrative assistance to ensure smooth workflows across the office

About You 

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally within a professional services environment
  • Knowledge of payroll, reconciliations, accounts payable, and trust account processes
  • Skills and experience overseeing office operations
  • Sound IT knowledge to assist with office hardware, basic troubleshooting, and setup coordination
