Are you a passionate and experienced leader in early childhood education?

We are looking for a dynamic Pedagogista for our brand-new, early learning school in
Fremantle
, which opened in February 2025. Following the success of our first School, established in Perth in 2018, we seek a Pedagogista to lead our Education practices in our second location

As our Education Leader, you will guide and mentor a talented team of experienced Early Childhood Teachers (ECT), educators, and faculty members, fostering an environment of excellence in early childhood education. Our organisational culture is crucial to how we operate as a team, reinforcing our curriculum and daily operations.

About Us
At The Akidamy School of Early Learning, we are honoured to be recognised as one of Perth's premier early childhood education services. Our distinctive boutique environment and robust community connections enable us to provide an exceptional learning experience. We embrace the Reggio Emilia philosophy and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and we take pride in our longstanding membership in the Reggio Emilia Australia Information Exchange (REAIE) Network Group in Western Australia.

In addition to our Reggio Emilia approach, we thoughtfully incorporate principles of RIE and Pikler into our curriculum. Our diverse and comprehensive offerings include art, music, mindfulness, Italian language, and sign language, tailored to enrich each child's educational journey.

What sets us apart is our carefully structured staffing model. Each classroom is guided by a qualified ECT and supported by an experienced Studio Lead who manages daily operations and care. Our dedicated Art Teacher (Atelierista) and Italian language instructor further enhance our programmes, ensuring a rich learning environment. We are fortunate to collaborate with outside specialists, including occupational therapists and sign language facilitators, to support child development and further our educational mission.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience and application in the Reggio Emilia approach or a keen interest.
  • Has a degree in Early Childhood Teaching or a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, as well experience and understanding of the EYLF, NQS and Kindergarten guidelines.
  • An ability to plan innovative and engaging self-guided curriculums, incorporating both indoor and outdoor environments, sustainability, nature play, and local excursions.
  • Significant expertise in management and mentoring ECTs and Educators on various early childhood theories and best practices in education such as the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), implementation of Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), and National Quality Standard (NQS) to achieve the highest educational outcomes for children and School Faculty.
  • Ability to develop and document children's learning and development to a high standard making children's learning visible.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to draft policies and procedures on educational content.
  • Proficient Computer Skills in Microsoft Office, Education Curriculum Platforms (Early Works etc.), CCMS and LMS or be willing to train it those areas.
  • A strong focus on fostering a culture of continuous improvement through developing and implementing effective processes and programmes, ensuring safety leadership at all levels within the School while meeting and exceeding legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with the School Director to oversee the implementation of innovative and engaging child-initiated curricula, ensuring the application of evidence-based, high-impact teaching strategies throughout the School.
