About the role

Core objectives include:

  • Adhering to safe work practices
  • Read & apply automotive repair instructions
  • Monitor environmental & sustainability best practice
  • Apply fundamental colour matching techniques
  • Apply vehicle masking techniques
  • Prepare and paint vehicle components
  • Apply solid, multi layer and clear over base colour matching techniques
  • Prepare and paint plastic components
  • Carry out denibbing, buffing and polishing operations
  • Mix & apply clear over base, multi layer pearl and water based refinishing materials
  • Solve routine problems
  • Work effectively with others
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate;

  • Certificate III in Automotive Refinish Technology AUR32412 or equivalent
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to success
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a fast-moving dynamic team
