We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant who is passionate about women's health to manage the financial health of our practice. This is a part time appointment, with flexible working hours/days for the right candidate. We will consider expressions of interest from freelance providers also.
About Us:Clinic 66 is a dedicated reproductive and sexual health clinic, proudly pro-choice, and committed to providing safe and compassionate care to all patients. Our clinic in Chatswood is supported by a national telehealth program that treats thousands of patients every year. Our mission is to empower individuals through access to high-quality healthcare, and we are looking for an Accountant who shares our values and dedication to making a difference.
Key Accountabilities:This is a small team environment in a phase of incredible growth. The responsibilities go well beyond financial accounting, which means the role incorporates both very hands-on duties and working with the leadership team on strategic planning. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Financial Accounting & Compliance
Oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and company policies
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
- Support the preparation of BAS, FBT, and other tax-related obligations.
Assist in year-end statutory reporting and liaise with external auditors.
Month-End & Reconciliations
Perform fortnightly reconciliations and escalate discrepancies.
Support the timely closure of month-end and year-end reporting.
Performance Monitoring & Strategy
Develop and monitor KPIs related to financial performance.
- Assist with due diligence and financial modelling
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and strategic financial advice for management to support decision-making and organisational growth.
Assist in implementing stronger financial controls and process improvements.
Payroll
Process fortnightly and monthly payroll using Tanda Payroll
About You:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA qualified or working towards).
- 6+ years' experience in a financial accounting role within general practice or healthcare (multi-entity experience desirable).
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
- Hands-on experience with Xero, Tyro, Stripe, and proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Proficiency in BestPractice medical software is highly desirable.
