About the Role
As the Swim School Team Leader, you will:
- Inspire participation and community connection by growing enrolments and fostering positive aquatic experiences.
- Lead a premier program by designing and launching a high-quality, engaging swim school for the Willoughby community.
- Develop and empower your team by mentoring swim instructors to deliver safe and high-quality lessons.
- Drive smooth operations by managing scheduling, enrolments, and daily program delivery while ensuring compliance with safety and child protection standards.
- Enhance programs through insights by using data, feedback, and performance metrics to continuously improve services and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Bring:
- Proven experience coordinating large-scale swim school or aquatic education programs, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, lead, and mentor swim instructors in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
- Extensive and proven swim teaching experience (ideally 5+ years) with strong knowledge of water safety and aquatic instruction.
- Strong operational and compliance knowledge of aquatic environments, including GSPO, Child Safe principles, and risk management.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills to engage effectively with parents, participants, staff, and community partners.
Desirable:
- AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia certifications (Competitive Strokes, Access & Inclusion).
- Experience in setting up or expanding a swim school operation, including enrolment management systems.
