Lead with purpose: Drive the future of Human Services as our next Business Development Lead
Are you a strategic, relationship-driven professional with a passion for creating genuine social impact? Do you thrive on identifying new opportunities and building partnerships that change lives for the better?
At New Horizons, we're not just a service provider; we're a catalyst for change. For over 55 years, we have been a cornerstone of the Australian human services sector, empowering individuals to live their best lives. This is your opportunity to step into a pivotal role, drive our strategic growth, and shape the future of our organisation and the communities we serve.
The opportunity:
As our Business Development Lead, you will be the architect of our growth. This isn't about sales; it's about strategy, connection, and co-design. You will be at the forefront, identifying emerging community needs and forging the partnerships required to meet them. You will work across our diverse service streams with a focus on Supported Independent Living, expanding our reach and ensuring more people can access the high-quality support they deserve.
Why you'll love working at New Horizons:
We believe that to do great work, you need to feel valued, inspired and supported. That's why we've built a culture where our people thrive.
- Be at the forefront of innovation: Forget bureaucracy and outdated models. You'll be part of a dynamic team that is constantly exploring, co-designing, and implementing cutting-edge, person-centred support services. You'll have the autonomy to make a real mark on the sector.
- Maximise your income with Salary Packaging: As a not-for-profit, we offer incredible financial benefits that significantly boost your take-home pay. Package up to $15,900 of your salary tax-free each year, plus an additional $2,650 for meals and entertainment expenses. That's more money in your pocket, every fortnight.
- Clear pathways for career progression: We are committed to your growth. With access to ongoing professional development, mentoring, and opportunities for advancement within a large and diverse organisation, your career is in great hands. We champion internal promotion and invest in our leaders of tomorrow.
- Work with purpose, every single day: Connect your professional ambition with a powerful social mission. Every partnership you build and every opportunity you create will have a direct, positive impact on the lives of thousands of Australians.
Who we're looking for:
You are a natural connector and a strategic thinker. You are commercially savvy but lead with empathy. We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic growth, ideally within the NDIS, health, or community services sector.
- An exceptional talent for building and nurturing authentic, long-term relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- A deep understanding of the human services landscape and a passion for making a difference.
- An innovative and proactive mindset, always looking for a better way to do things.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to inspire others with a compelling vision.
