What you'll do

As part of our Community Aged Care Workforce team, you'll play a key role in positioning AnglicareSA as an employer of choice by building, supporting, and retaining a skilled and engaged workforce. You'll shape innovative onboarding and retention strategies, deliver engaging learning and development initiatives, and foster a culture where staff and volunteers feel valued, supported, and empowered to make a difference in the lives of older South Australians.

Working closely with leaders, volunteers, and employees, you'll ensure that every team member's journey from recruitment through to ongoing development is seamless, compliant, and aligned with best practice. Your ability to inspire, coach, and connect people will directly contribute to a strong, capable, and committed Community Aged Care team.

You'll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:

  • Leading and supporting onboarding, learning, and retention initiatives that attract, develop, and retain high-quality staff and volunteers.
  • Developing and delivering engaging training materials, graduate programs, and supervision frameworks that foster a continuous learning culture.
  • Building strong internal and external relationships to drive best-practice workforce development strategies.
  • Monitoring and enhancing volunteer programs to ensure they meet both organisational needs and volunteer expectations.
What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in delivering adult-based training and assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of workforce retention strategies and their practical implementation.
  • Proven ability to engage and adapt learning strategies for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • A working understanding of the Aged Care sector and Aged Care Quality Standards.

We would also love you to have:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Highly desirable)
  • Experience in developing and reviewing training materials, policies, and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of community networks and resources.
  • Strong relationship management skills to build effective partnerships.
  • Experience in volunteer program management.
