We're looking for a passionate and professional front-of-house leader to join our team at Alba Salentinian Restaurant, an authentic Southern Italian restaurant located in the heart of Newtown, just a 3-minute walk from the station.

About the Role

We're offering around 25 hours per week to start, with potential to grow as the restaurant expands.

The role combines floor service with some supervisory responsibilities, working closely with the owners to maintain high service standards and help develop better systems for the team.

Your tasks will include:

  • Welcoming and engaging with guests to create memorable experiences
  • Coordinating floor and service operations with the kitchen team
  • Supporting and training front-of-house staff
  • Helping us improve service flow and communication within the team

About You

You are:

  • Experienced in hospitality, ideally with Italian restaurant background
  • Fluent in English (Italian language or cultural understanding is a plus, but not required)
  • Comfortable taking initiative and leading by example
  • Professional, reliable, and approachable — with a friendly personality
  • Someone looking for a long-term role, not just a short-term visa job (Working Holiday Visa applicants are welcome to apply but will be given lower priority)
