This is a casual position, providing flexible work arrangements to support our clients with a range of disability support services. As an experienced disability support sorker, you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and achieve their personal goals.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing personalised support and assistance to clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and community access
  • Collaborating with clients, families, and other care professionals to develop and implement individualised support plans
  • Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote client well-being and community inclusion
  • Maintaining detailed client records and documentation to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Advocating for client rights and ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience (minimum 2 years) providing disability support services in a SIL setting
  • Experienced in working with clients with challenging behaviours and complex support needs
  • Experienced in wound management
  • Demonstrated understanding of person-centred approaches and the ability to empower clients to achieve their goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients, families, and other stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing client needs
  • A valid driver's licence
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to meet the needs of our clients
