About Us

Small Friends Childcare & Education Oak Park is launching a purpose-built early learning centre in Oak Park, focused on delivering warm, nurturing, and high-quality care. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Second in Charge (2IC) to support the Centre Director in the day-to-day management of our exciting new service.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic role for an experienced and dedicated early childhood professional who thrives in a leadership support role. You'll work closely with all staff to ensure smooth operations, support the team, and maintain high standards of care and education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate with daily operations and compliance
  • Support team leadership, mentoring, and rostering
  • Help ensure adherence to NQF, EYLF, and CCS requirements
  • Build positive relationships with families, staff, and the local community
  • Step into the Director's role when required
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and collaboration

About You

  • Diploma or higher in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved)
  • Prior experience in Centre Manager
  • Sound knowledge of early childhood regulations and frameworks
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families
