About the Role

At Big Childcare, we're passionate about creating engaging, safe, and fun environments where children can thrive outside of school hours. We're currently seeking an experienced and motivated Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Centre Manager to lead our vibrant and high-capacity service in Wyndham Vale.

As the Centre Manager, you will oversee the daily operations and overall success of our Wyndham Vale OSHC service. This role combines leadership, administration, and relationship-building in a fun and rewarding environment. You will lead a team of passionate educators to deliver high-quality programs that inspire, educate, and engage children before school, after school, and during school holidays.

Working Hours

This is a split-shift role aligned with our care sessions and admin needs:

Shifts: Morning: 6:40 AM – 8:40 AM; Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 6:40 PM; Admin Hours: Flexible, worked between sessions in consultation with your Area Manager

School Holiday Hours: Service operates from 7:00 AM – 6:15 PM, with working hours adjusted accordingly

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage daily operations of a 135-place OSHC service
  • Support, mentor, and inspire a team of educators
  • Plan and implement fun, age-appropriate programs
  • Build strong relationships with families, schools, and the wider community
  • Ensure compliance with NQF, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
  • Manage enrolments, staffing rosters, budgets, and service administration
About You

You're a confident and capable leader with a passion for working with children and supporting your team. You thrive in dynamic environments and bring energy, professionalism, and care to everything you do.

You'll Have:

  • A Diploma or higher in Children's Services, Education, or a related field
  • Proven leadership experience in OSHC or Early Childhood settings
  • A minimum of 1 year leadership experience in OSHC or early childhood settings
  • Strong knowledge of the NQF and My Time, Our Place framework
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Current: Working with Children Check (WWCC), First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Training, Food Safety Certificate, Mandatory Child Protection Training, Police Check or willingness to obtain
  • Most certifications can be obtained after hiring, providing flexibility for suitable candidates
